Frequently asked questions
- Emergency requests are routed to a plumber on call immediately, day or night. For scheduled work we respond within 15 minutes during business hours, and most non-emergency jobs are booked for the same or next day. Send the request and you will hear back with a real time window, not a vague promise.
- Yes. Every job is quoted flat-rate before any work begins, so you approve the number first. If a diagnostic fee applies, you are told the amount upfront and it is credited toward the repair if you go ahead with it.
- Every job is performed by a licensed, insured plumber working under a Texas Responsible Master Plumber. Plumbing work in Texas is regulated by the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners, and we do not send anyone to your home who is not properly licensed to do the work.
- We cover 25 neighborhoods, suburbs and incorporated cities across the Greater San Antonio area — from Stone Oak, Boerne and Bulverde in the north to Schertz, Cibolo and Converse along the northeast corridor, the historic districts inside Loop 410, and the South Side. If your address is near the edge of that footprint, send the request anyway and we will confirm coverage.
- Two local conditions do most of the damage. The water is hard, which builds scale inside water heaters, valves and fixtures and shortens their life. And much of the area sits on clay soil that swells and shrinks between drought and heavy rain, which moves slab foundations and stresses the supply lines running underneath them. Those two facts explain the majority of the calls we take.
- Yes, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Burst pipes, sewage backups, failed water heaters and active leaks are dispatched around the clock. After-hours rates apply and you will be told the price before work starts.
- We can give you a realistic range for common jobs, and every service page on this site publishes the typical range for that work. An exact price needs eyes on the problem, because the same symptom can have a fifty-dollar cause or a five-thousand-dollar one. Photos attached to your request help us narrow it considerably.
- If water is actively leaking, shut off the main water valve to the house — it is usually near the street at the meter, or where the supply line enters the house. For a water heater leak, also turn off the gas or the breaker to the unit. If you cannot find the shutoff, say so in your request and locating it becomes the first thing the plumber does.
