Slow drains and backups cleared fast
Drain Cleaning & Clog Removal in San Antonio
A single slow sink is a nuisance. Every drain in the house backing up at once is a main line problem, and the difference matters. We clear the blockage, then put a camera down the line when the symptoms suggest something structural, so you are not paying to snake the same pipe every six months.

Drain Cleaning questions
- Run water in a sink and watch the nearest toilet. If it gurgles, or if the tub backs up when the washer drains, the blockage is in the main line rather than the fixture. A single slow drain with everything else running normally is a fixture-level clog.
- For grease, soap scale and root hair, yes — jetting scours the pipe wall instead of punching a hole through the blockage. For a fragile old clay or cast-iron line, jetting can do damage, which is why we camera first on older homes before deciding.
- Repeat clogs in the same place are almost always structural: a belly in the line where water sits, an offset joint, root intrusion, or a section of pipe that has scaled down. Cabling clears the symptom; a camera finds the cause. If you have paid to snake the same line three times, the third call should have been an inspection.
- Done correctly, no. Done with the wrong tool on the wrong pipe, it can. That is the reason we identify the pipe material and age before choosing between cabling and jetting, particularly in older neighborhoods where clay and cast iron are still in service.
- They occasionally clear a light clog and they reliably damage older pipes, especially cast iron, while creating a caustic hazard for whoever opens the line next. We would rather you skipped them and called before the blockage becomes a backup.
